Hey there! I’m Shelly, a wife, mom, grandmother and a retired Texas educator. I also love going to our cabin in the mountains of New Mexico to watch the seasons change and make memories with my family. Another thing that I love to do is to take pictures of the sunrises and sunsets, where ever I might be. Because of this, the journey of From the Porch was started.
I was walking to our mailbox, one morning, and looked up at our house on the hill and I had a moment where “from the porch” became From the Porch! Living in the country and on top of a hill, provides us with some of the most amazing views of sunrises and sunsets, storms, the occasional grass fire and just the wonderment of how far we can see!
I love to paint, so I am focusing on painting door hangers, Christmas tree toppers, Christmas ornaments, whatever I get asked to paint and eventually, items from the laser machine! Stay tuned to what’s coming From the Porch!
